A reply by way of affidavit of Mukesh Kumar, HPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ), Karnal has been filed wherein it has been stated that the statements of the petitioners have been recorded wherein the petitioners have stated that they have no apprehension of danger at the hands of the private respondents and that they do not want any police protection and further that they are residing happily as husband and wife. The statements of the petitioners have been appended with the reply as Annexure R-I and Annexure R-II In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the State, the learned counsel for the petitioners states that he does not wish to press the present petition.
