JUSTICE GURVINDER SINGH GILL Present:- Mr. Rakesh Sobti, Advocate for the petitioner. ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of direction to protect his life and liberty as he apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5, who are allegedly threatening the petitioner in connivance with respondent respondent No.6, and who are pressurizing him to withdraw criminal complaint filed by the petitioner against respondents No.4 and 5.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, District Amritsar to examine the alleged threat perception of the petitioner. In case any applicatioin is filed by the petitioner seeking protection, the same be got examined expeditiously in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is any imminent threat to life and liberty of the petitioner, then requisite steps as warranted under law be taken PANKAJ KAKKAR 2020.03.05 17:34 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
