NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing of FIR No. 69 dated 16.11.2022 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 498-A, 406, 420 and 509 read with Section 34 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 at Women Police Station Manesar, District Gurugram and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of settlement/compromise dated 10.05.2023 (Annexure P-2) entered into between the parties. At the outset, on instructions from LSI Pinki, learned counsel for the State submits that after completion of investigation, the police had prepared cancellation report in the matter and presented the same before the learned trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate on 20.07.2023, which is still pending consideration.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he does not want to press this petition, at this stage. However, prays that liberty may be granted to the petitioners to file a fresh one on the same cause of action, if need so arises.
