Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is claiming the promotion to the post of Executive Engineer on the basis of reservation and as per the respondents, the petitioner has already been promoted on the said post hence, the only question which remains to be decided is whether or not, the petitioner is entitled for retrospective promotion hence, the present writ petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further with liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate representation before the authorities concerned claiming the benefit of retrospective promotion to the post of Executive Engineer and the respondents be directed to decide the said claim in a time bound manner so that the petitioner does not suffer any prejudice. 2.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that in case any representation is received from the petitioner raising the claim for HARSHA RANI 2024.03.07 15:41 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-6275-2020 (O&M) 2024:PHHC:032159 retrospective promotion to the post of Executive Engineer, the same will be decided in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks of the receipt of any such representation and in case, after the decision, it is found feasible to extend the relief, the same will be extended to the petitioner otherwise, due reasons will be mentioned in the speaking order for information and necessary action of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of learned counsel for the respondents, the present writ petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further with liberty as prayed for.
