*** ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL , J.(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the husband of the petitioner had taken a loan of Rs.20 lakhs in the year 2009. He unfortunately expired on 17.09.2020 and the petitioner has been in financial difficulty thereafter. He submits that   

                       

 Mr. Rajiv Joshi, Advocate has put an appearance on behalf of the respondent-Bank and on instructions from Manav Mahajan, Chief Manager, SBI, Dhangu Road, Pathankot submits that outstanding amount as on date is Rs.23,47,672/- and the petitioner should make payment of this amount. In the event of the petitioner paying 50% of the amount within a period of one month VANITA 2025.03.27 11:23 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order and judgment

CWP-5074-2025 and the remaining outstanding amount along with interest within a period of three months from now, then respondent-Bank would settle the loan account. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is ready to make the payment as per the schedule set out by the counsel for respondent. 5.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of with the direction that in the event of the petitioner paying a sum of Rs.11,73,836/- (i.e. 50% of the total outstanding amount) within one month from now and the remaining outstanding amount along with interest within three months from now, the respondent-Bank would settle the loan account. However, in the event of any default on the part of the petitioner, in making payment, the respondent-Bank would be at liberty to initiate steps in accordance with the Securitization Act.
