Narender Kumar & ORS v. State Of Haryana & ORS
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH Sr. No.569-2 CWP-6625-2000 (O&M) Date of decision: May 18, 2022 Narender Kumar and Others ..Petitioners
Versus
State of Haryana and Others ..Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN MONGA
Present:
None for the petitioners.
Mr. R.D. Sharma, Deputy Advocate General, Haryana. ***** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing order dated 30.11.1998 whereby Diesel Pump Attendants i.e. the private respondents were given the benefit of ad hoc service while fixing their seniority vis-à-vis Clerks and seeking directions to the respondents to refix the seniority of the petitioners from the date of their initial appointment. 2.
Petition was admitted on 22.08.2002.
3.
When called out for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 22 years before this Court, it has been rendered infructuous and/or the petitioners seem to have lost interest in pursuing the same. 4.
Be that as it may, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to file an appropriate application in case any cause of action still survives.
