(Oral) The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of impugned order dated 06.07.1995 (Annexure P-5), whereby, the private respondents have been promoted as Deputy Secretaries/Under Secretaries by reverting the petitioners from the post of Under Secretaries to the post of Superintendent Grade-I and Private Secretaries. The case is of the year 1995 and has been adjourned on various dates to know the present status of the case. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he is not in a position to get the present status as official addresses were mentioned and the petitioners have not contacted him inspite of communication sent by him.

Learned State counsel is also not in a position to get the present NEETU RANI 2016.07.29 11:57 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.9794 of 1995 status as the petitioners as well as the private respondents might have retired.

Even learned counsel for respondents No.2 to 9 is not having any instruction with regard to the present status. In view of above, the present writ petition is dismissed in default.

However, in case, the petitioners are still aggrieved and something survives in the present writ petition, they are at liberty to move an application.
