(Oral) Aggrieved by order dated 20.2.2019 (Annexure P-4) passed by Special Judge, CBI, Punjab, SAS Nagar, Mohali, the petitioner had come up before this Court. At the time of issuance notice, the petitioner had confined his prayer to the issue of summoning the lawyer i.e. Sh. Navkiran Singh and Clerk of the High Court namely Harshinder Singh, as witnesses, as mentioned in paragraph 8 of the impugned order.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and gone through the impugned order.

A perusal of paragraph 8 of the impugned order reveals that CBI wanted to examine Sh. Navkiran Singh, Advocate and Harshinder Singh, Clerk, to prove the copies of Writ Petition No.691 of 1994.

Needless to say that certified copy of the said writ petition is suffice and it only needed examination of the person who had prepared such copy and there is no need to examine Sh. Navkiran Singh, Advocate or his Clerk Harshinder Singh or any other Clerk through whom said writ petition was filed. Accordingly, the present petition is allowed to the extent mentioned ASHWANI KUMAR 2023.03.23 10:24 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
