Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.34 dated 10.05.2015 registered under Section 61 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 at Police Station Nurmahal, District Jalandhar. Counsel for the petitioner submits that in pursuance to the order dated 12.03.2020, which was modified, vide order dated 21.09.2020, the petitioner has surrendered before the trial Court and has been released on interim bail. Counsel has placed on record receipt bearing No.4771 dated 20.03.2020 to submit that the costs of Rs.25,000/- has been deposited with the Poor Patient Welfare Fund, PGIMER, Sector 12, Chandigarh.
