SUVIR SEHGAL, J. (Oral) The Court has been convened through video conferencing due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.333 dated 20.12.2019 registered under Sections 406, 420, 120-B of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Civil Lines Patiala, District Patiala.
On 04.03.2020, following order was passed:- "Counsel for the petitioner submits that his case is at par with Mandeep Singh who has been granted interim bail by this Court, vide order dated 03.02.2020 (Annexure P-4) passed in CRM-M-4316 of 2020 titled as 'Mandeep Singh Vs. State of Punjab'.

Meanwhile, the petitioner shall join the investigation and would come present as and when called for and in the event of arrest, he shall be admitted to interim bail on his furnishing personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting Investigating Officer. He shall also abide by the conditions as specified under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
Interim protection granted to co-accused, Mandeep Singh has been made absolute by an order passed on even date. Learned State counsel, on instructions from SI Suman Bala submits that petitioner has joined investigation and is no longer required for custodial interrogation. He has further instructions to state that petitioner is not involved in any other criminal case.
In view of the above facts, but without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 04.03.2020 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
