Kali @ Ravi Kumar and others ............Petitioners vs State of Punjab and another .............Respondent CORAM:- HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr.Balram Singh,Advocate for the petitioners Mr.Kirat Singh Sidhu,DAG Punjab assisted by ASI Ajmer Singh Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail to four accused petitioners namely Kali @ Ravi Kumar, Amit Kumar @ Monu, Ladu @ Roshan and Pujari in case FIR No.111 dated 24.10.2015 under Sections 302, 148,149 IPC (converted to 304/34 IPC and Section 3 and 4 of the SC/ST Act added later on) PS City Malout,Distt. Sri Muktsar Sahib. Allegations as per investigation are that on account of teasing of bride by Paramjit @ Pamma (since deceased) accused party consisting brother and friends of bridegroom inflicted injuries upon Paramjit @ Pamma leading to his death.

Initially the FIR was registered under Section 302 IPC, however, after investigation offence has been converted to Section 304 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the SC/ST Act also added. Aforementioned four petitioners-accused were found innocent by the police and were placed in column no.2. However, they have been summoned under Section 193 Cr.PC by the learned trial Court to face trial. RAJINDER PRASHAD JOSHI 2016.06.

CRM-M 17587/2016 It was contended that custodial interrogation of the petitioners was not required.

Vide order dated 20.5.2016 while issuing notice of motion it was directed that in the event of surrendering before the trial court within 10 days, petitioners be released on interim bail. At the time of hearing today,learned counsel states that in compliance of the said order, petitioners surrendered before the trial court on 25.5.2016 and were released on interim bail. Learned State counsel on instructions is unable to refute the said factual position.

In view of the above interim bail granted by the trial court, pursuant to the order dated 20.5.2016, is made absolute. Disposed of.
