(Oral) Prayer in this criminal writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for releasing the detenue namely Mandeep Singh son of Harbhajan Singh, from the illegal detention of respondents No.3 to 5. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members at the hands of respondents No.3 to 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition.
