The grievance of the petitioner is that her nomination papers have been rejected by the Returning Officer, Municipal Committee, Kaninacum-sub-Divisional Officer (C), Kanina vide order dated 18.02.2025 on the ground that her name in the Matriculation Certificate is different from the name mentioned in the nomination papers and that her date of birth in the Matriculation Certificate is different from the date mentioned in the Aadhaar Card. 2.

Without going into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner, if so advised, to move an appropriate representation before respondents No.4 and 5. It is made clear that in case such representation is filed, the said respondents shall examine the matter and pass an appropriate order qua the Matriculation Certificate, in accordance with law. 5.
