The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to release his vehicle bearing registration No.HR-38-Z-4200. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is owner of vehicle bearing registration No.HR-38-Z-4200. It was impounded by respondent on 28.01.2026 and penalty of Rs.1,33,000/- was imposed. He is ready to pay amount of penalty of Rs.1,33,000/-, however, respondents are not releasing said vehicle on the ground that four more challans are pending. He has challenged those challans and matter is pending before trial Court at Faridabad. 3.

Learned State counsel submits that vehicle cannot be released unless and until payment is made with respect to all the pending challans. This is mandate of notification issued by State Government. DEEPAK BISSYAN 2026.03.12 16:45 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Considering the fact that petitioner is ready to deposit a sum of Rs.1,33,000/- towards challan amount, the vehicle is a public transport vehicle and source of petitioner's livelihood, he has challenged remaining challans before trial Court, he is ready to furnish surety with respect to other challans, this Court finds it appropriate to direct respondents to immediately release aforesaid vehicle on payment of Rs.1,33,000/- as well as furnishing of surety to the satisfaction of RTO, Gurugram. It is made clear that vehicle would be released within 24 hours from the date of deposit of Rs.1,33,000/- and furnishing surety. 5.
