The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 55 dated 6.4.2010 u/s 420/468/471/120-B IPC registered at P.S. A Division, Amritsar City. The said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent No.2 alleging that petitioners in connivance with each other had committed fraud with the complainant by cancelling the power of attorney and sold the truck to him and had given a false affidavit regarding the documents of the truck by forging the same in the name of Satnam singh and had lodged a false report after having taken the possession of the truck of the complainant. The parties were directed to appear before the Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, Amritsar and get their statements recorded regarding matter having been compromised. After recording the statements of the parties, a report has been received that the parties have amicably resolved the dispute.

In view of the above, following the Full Bench judgment of this court in Kulwinder singh and ors vs. State of Punjab and anr 2007(3) RCR 1052 , the petition is allowed, the above said FIR and the criminal proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed, on the basis of compromise.
