**** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Present petition is for release of petitioner on regular bail in FIR No.10 dated 29.03.2014, under Sections 406 and 498-A IPC, registered at Police Station Women Cell, Bathinda, District Bathinda. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the present case the petitioner was earlier granted the concession of regular bail and he was regularly attending the Court proceedings. Subsequently, on 12.12.2016 he could not appear and the trial Court issued non-bailable warrants against him without any cogent grounds. Now, he is in custody since 19.01.2017. Learned State counsel, on instructions from investigating officer, has informed that out of total 10 witnesses, none has been examined so far.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and with their Naresh Kumar 2017.05.19 11:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh able assistance gone through the material available on record.

CRM-M-16943-2017 -2The petitioner was arrested on 19.01.2017. Since then, he is in judicial custody and no useful purpose would be served to further detain him in jail. The final conclusion of trial will take a long time. In view of above facts, the present petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on regular bail on his furnishing adequate bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of learned trial Judge/Duty Magistrate, Bathinda.

Needless to mention that, nothing observed here-in-above, would reflect, on merits in the trial of the main case, in any manner.
