The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure with a prayer to set aside the order dated 03.01.2024 (Annexure P-4) passed in CRA No.7/2024 dated 03.01.2024 by the Additional Sessions Judge, Chandigarh in Criminal Complaint No.7760 of 2014 dated 21.10.2014, whereby the petitioner was directed to pay 20% of the compensation amount, which was imposed by the learned trial Court. 2.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties at length and perused the record.

During the course of arguments, learned counsel for the parties have agreed that without referring to the merits of the case and the rival contentions made by the learned counsel for the parties, the impugned order may be set aside with the consent of the parties. However, learned counsel pray that the appropriate directions may be issued to the learned Appellate Court to decide the main appeal within a certain stipulated time period. 4.

In view of the agreed stand of the parties, the impugned 03.01.2024 (Annexure P-4) passed in CRA No.7/2024, whereby the petitioner was directed to pay 20% of the compensation amount imposed by the learned trial Court, is set aside.

The appellate court is directed to decide the main appeal within a period of 04 months from the next date of hearing fixed before the Court. 6.
