The matter was referred to Daily Lok Adalat.

As per orders dated 21.09.2016, 18.11.2016 and 10.01.2017, the petitioner did not appear before Daily Lok Adalat. Accordingly, the matter was returned to the Bench.

The petitioner is assailing order dated 24.03.2000 (Annexure P-2) whereby appellate authority has dismissed its appeal and allowed the appeal of the workman.

The workman approached controlling authority seeking gratuity of 15 years, 06 months and 18 days. The controlling authority allowed gratuity, however, permitted the management to effect recovery of their dues. Considering the absence of parties and awarded amount i.e. Rs.23,000/-, this Court does not find it appropriate to keep the matter pending, 6.
