The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 469 dated 23.09.2017 under Sections 419, 420, 466, 467, 468, 469, 471, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code registered at Police Station Civil Lines Amritsar and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

After arguing vehemently on the merits of the case, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition, however, contains his prayer only to the extent that the trial Court be directed to take a lenient view, in case, the petitioner applies for exemption from personal appearance.

In light of the above, the present petition stands dismissed as not pressed, with liberty to the petitioner to seek an exemption from personal appearance and the trial Court shall consider the same leniently by PARUL 2024.03.07 14:20 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document keeping in mind his age and the fact that he has undergone knee surgery.

However, it is made clear that this order shall not be construed as any concession to the petitioner, who shall undertake to appear before the trial Court as and when directed.
