! "# $%& '% ( % ******* KARAMJIT SINGH, J.(Oral) Petitioners are praying for direction to respondents No.2 & 3 to provide protection to their lives and liberty from the hands of private respondents No.4 to 14.

In the petition, it has been stated that both the petitioners are into live-in-relationship which has been opposed by private respondents No.4 to 14.

Counsel for the petitioners, inter alia, submits that both the petitioners are major and are divorcee. The copies of their decrees of divorce are Annexure P-1 (Collectively). It is further submitted that after getting divorce from their spouses, now petitioner No.1 and 2 are living together with their own free will and volition against the wishes of
) respondents No.4 to 14. That the said respondents are extending threats to cause physical harm to the petitioners. Earlier also when the similar situation had arisen, both the petitioners approached this Court vide CRWP-11075-2024 wherein order dated 18.11.2024 (Annexure P-3) was passed by the Coordinate Bench of this Court and protection was provided to the petitioners for a limited period. Now the said period of protection has expired and again the private respondents have started giving threats to cause harm to the petitioners. The matter has been reported to the police vide representation dated 17.02.2025 (Annexure P-4) but the police authorities have failed to take any action in this regard.

Mr. Jasjeet Singh Dhaliwal, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 and submits that in case any such representation submitted by the petitioners, is pending, the same will be looked into and decided by competent authority as per law, at the earliest. 6.
In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is hereby disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka to consider and decide representation dated 17.02.2025(Annexure P-4) submitted by the petitioners in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion regarding the validity of the relationship between the petitioners. It is also made clear that respondents No.4 to 14 are at liberty to avail appropriate remedy available to them under law against the petitioners. In case the petitioners have committed any offence, law will take its own course.
