*** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant the first Assured Career Progression grade to the petitioner prior to his juniors on completion of 10 years of service and not to exclude the period of sanctioned extraordinary study leave while computing the period of 10 years.

Petition was filed in the year 2001 and has been lying admitted ever since. It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 21 years before this Court, either it has been rendered infructuous or even otherwise the petitioner seems to have lost interest in pursuing the same. 3.

Be that as it may, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application in case any cause of action still survives.
