Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 438 Cr.P.C.), is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, in cross case bearing GD No.45, dated 23.10.2024, under Sections 115(2), 118(1) of BNS, 2023 [Section 118(2) and 3(5) of BNS, 2023, were added later on] in FIR No.124, dated 23.10.2024, under Sections 115(2), 118(1) of BNS, 2023 [Sections 118(2), 191(3) and 190 of BNS, 2023 were added later on, vide GD No.30, dated 24.10.2024], registered at Police Station Giddarbaha, District Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab. 2.
In compliance to the order dated 05.03.2025, passed by this Court, Investigating Officers, namely; ASI Jang Singh, who was earlier dealing with the aforementioned case, and ASI Prabhjot Singh, who is present Investigating Officer of the case, are present in-person in Court today.

Both the Investigating Officers submit that in the present cross case, out of the 7 accused, 4 have been found innocent and apart this, 2 accused have already been granted concession of anticipatory bail. 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in compliance to the order dated 05.03.2025, he has already joined investigation and fully cooperated with the investigating agency. Further, submits that custodial interrogation of the petitioner would not serve any purpose to the prosecution and therefore, seeks confirmation of the interim bail. 5.
On the other hand, learned State counsel opposes the prayer of the petitioner's counsel, and produces the status report dated 31.03.2025, in Court, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. Office to tag the same at appropriate place.
A copy thereof has been handed over to the counsel for the petitioner.
Besides, fact qua joining of investigation by the petitioner, has also been disclosed in the status report in paragraph No.5(vi) also. 6.
Heard.

Since the petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation is not required, the present petition is allowed and the ad-interim order dated 05.03.2025, is hereby made absolute. However, petitioner shall continue to join the investigation as and when required to do so and abide by all the terms and conditions laid down under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023.

Besides, it is directed that petitioner would hand over his passport to the Investigating Agency or to Court concerned, if he possesses.
- 3 - Otherwise, would submit an affidavit, disclosing the fact that he does not possess any passport.
It is also directed that before leaving country any time during trial, petitioner would seek prior permission of the Court. 9.
Accordingly, petition stands disposed of.
