Mr. Parminder Singh, Advocate, for the petitioners Mr. Varun Sharma, AAG, Punjab Fateh Deep Singh, J. (Oral) Initially in the report dated 15.6.2015 sent by the learned trial court, statements of only complainant Hazara Singh and one accused Harjit Singh were recorded and in subsequent report dated 24.12.2015, statements of all the accused namely Charanjit Singh, Karam Singh, Harmit Singh, Sawinder Singh and Ranjit Singh were also recorded. The learned court has shown its satisfaction that the compromise is an outcome of voluntariness, free will and without any coercion or undue pressure.

In the light of the satisfaction shown by the Court and in view of the fact that compromise will go a long way in resolving the personal dispute and to bring about personal harmony and being version and cross-version case and more-so the offences for which the accused have been booked are not of very serious nature and in view of the law laid down in Gian Singh vs State of Punjab and DALBIR SINGH TIWANA 2016.01.15 11:01 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.

Criminal Misc. No. M-17175 of 2015 -2another, 2012 (4) RCR (Criminal) 543 and Kulwinder Singh and others vs State of Punjab and another, 2007(3) RCR (Criminal) 1052 and in view of which the prayer made in the petition is allowed, proceedings by way of FIR No. 66 dated 4.4.2014 registered at Police Station Cantonment, District Amritsar, under sections 323,325,148, 149 IPC and all consequences arising thereof are quashed, qua the present petitioners. The petition stands allowed in those terms.
