The petitioner prays for issuance of the writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to hold meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Superintendent Grade-II (Revenue and Judicial). 2.

Mr. Vikas Arora, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, has entered appearance pursuant to the supply of an advance copy of the writ petition and as per the instructions received from Mr. Sagar Monga, Senior Assistant, Office of the Commissioner, Ferozepur Division, Ferozepur, he submits that the dispute with respect to the seniority of the Superintendent Grade-II is pending consideration with the Financial Commissioner which shall be decided, positively, within a period of one month from today and thereafter, the steps will be taken to proceed ahead.
