The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying for issuance of direction to the official respondents No.1 and 2 to direct respondent No.3 to conduct a fair and impartial investigation on the complaint dated 21.10.2023 (Annexure P-3) filed by respondent No.4 as well as complaint dated 19.12.2023 (Annexure P-4) filed by petitioner No.2. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that petitioner No.2 and respondent No.4 are husband and wife and due to matrimonial discord, they are involved in filing complaints and initiating litigation against each other. Petitioner No.1 is the real aunt of petitioner No.2. It is further contended that mother of petitioner No.2 has expired and her father, being a Constable in Indo-Tibbetan Board Force, is posted in Jalpaigudi, District Siliguri, Assam. In the complaint filed by respondent No.4, petitioner No.1 has also been implicated, due to which she is being harassed by the local police at the instance of respondent No.4. It is submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied in case a fair and impartial enquiry is conducted in the complaint filed by respondent No.4 in a time bound manner.

Mr. Subhash Godara, Addl. A.G., Punjab, who appears on advance notice for the official respondents, submits that respondent No.2 will look into the complaint filed by respondent No.4 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

Without going into the merits of the case, I dispose of this petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into the complaint (Annexure P-3) filed by respondent No.4 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and take a decision thereon, in accordance with law.
