**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) This petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No. 255 dated 24.11.2018 registered under Sections 323, 325, 506, 148, 149, 120-B IPC, Police Station Dugri, District Ludhiana (Annexure P-1) and all the consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the occurrence took place on 13.11.2018 and after recording the statement of the complainant, the FIR in question was registered on 24.11.2018 i.e. after a delay of 11 days. It was only in the supplementary statement recorded by the complainant on 11.1.2019, he named the petitioner. Learned counsel also submits that even when the challan was presented on 1.6.2019, the petitioner was kept in column No. 2. However, on 3.10.2019 application for obtaining warrants of arrest was moved by the prosecution agency and the petitioner has been granted anticipatory bail by the trial Court vide order dated 19.12.2019 (Annexure P-4).

CRM-M No. 9838 of 2020 -2before the trial Court. He prays that personal appearance of the petitioner may be exempted being a student of CLARA International. The prayer is accepted.

The petition is disposed of being not pressed. The petitioner is at liberty to raise all the pleas before the trial Court. Personal appearance of the petitioner is exempted.
