This petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail in case FIR No.7 dated 18.01.2025, registered under Sections 105 and 190 of BNS, at Police Station Ladowal, District Ludhiana.

On 27.02.2025, the following order was passed:- "Contends, inter alia, that as per allegations in the FIR itself, the deceased-Jaspal was a drug-addict and he died on account of over-dose; thus, petitioner cannot be held liable for his death.

Notice of motion.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia submits that the main allegations are against Jaskamal Singh @ Jassa, Gulshan Kumar @ Jagga. The petitioner has been falsely implicated with omnibus allegations that the deceased son of the complainant used to procure drugs from nine persons. Apart from the bald allegations, there is no evidence against the petitioner to connect him with the alleged incident and the petitioner is out of those nine persons, named in the FIR (supra). 4.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Major Singh, at the very outset, informs the Court that the petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation is not required. 5.

In view of the statement of learned State counsel, order dated 27.02.2025 is hereby made absolute. The petitioner shall abide by the terms and conditions envisaged under Section 482(2) of BNSS (erstwhile Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973). 6.

The petition stands disposed of.
