The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of orders dated 20.04.1999 and 07.06.2000 whereby petitioner has been dismissed from service on the ground that he has furnished fake matriculation certificate. 2.
The petitioner was recruited as Constable vide order dated 12.08.1992 passed by IGP PAP Jalandhar. He produced matriculation certificate regarding his qualification bearing Roll No.303407 Sr. No.464863, March' 1989 Punjab School Education Board, Mohali (Roopnagar). On verification, it was found that aforesaid certificate was issued to Baljit Kaur d/o Tarsem Singh. On the basis of report of Education Board, the petitioner was dismissed from service. 3.
