The prayer in the present petition under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 is for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to transfer the investigation of FIR No.02 dated 03.01.2025 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 329(3), 115(2), 190 of BNS, 2023 registered at Police Station City Kotkapura, District Faridkot from respondent Nos.5 and 6 to any other senior police officials.

The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the investigation is not being conducted in a fair manner and the Investigating Agency is likely to file a cancellation report. Therefore, the investigation be transferred to some senior police officials. 3.

The learned State counsel, on the other hand, contends that on investigation it has been found that the allegations in the FIR are baseless and therefore, they are likely to file a cancellation report in this case. Without going into the rival contentions of either side, the present petition is disposed of with the direction to the SSP, District Faridkot, to supervise the investigation and file the appropriate report in the concerned Court within a reasonable period of time. 5.
