***** JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks grant of the anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in a case bearing FIR No.0016 dated 29.01.2022 under Sections 61, 1,14 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 registered with Police Station Lopoke, District Amritsar.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the interim order dated 25th March, 2022, passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined the investigation.
The learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Gurdeep Singh submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation in terms of the order dated 25th March, 2022 and is not required for custodial interrogation. In this view of the matter, interim order dated 25th March, 2022, is made absolute.
However, the petitioner shall keep on joining the investigation as and when required to do so and she shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
The petition stands disposed of.
