(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner had entered into an agreement for sale of his land to respondent No.4Ravinder Singh and that Ravinder Singh had issued a cheque for an amount of Rs.5 lakhs, as earnest money, which upon its presentation was dishonoured on the ground that his signatures do not tally. Learned counsel submits that ever since, respondent No.4 has been threatening the petitioner to forcibly dispossess the petitioner. It has been submitted that the petitioner had also recorded telephonic audio conversation between the petitioner and respondent No.4.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, and without commenting anything as regards the merits of the assertions made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, District PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.03.10 14:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRWP-2230-2023 (O&M) - 2 - Nawanshahar, to get the representation dated 20.2.2023 (Annexure P-1) examined as regards the alleged threat perception of the petitioner in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon. Needless to mention, it shall be open to the petitioner to furnish any additional material in respect of his assertions including the alleged recording of audio conversation.

A copy of this order along with copy of representation dated 20.2.2023 (Annexure P-1) be sent to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, District Nawanshahar, for necessary compliance.
