The petitioner is alleged to have stolen Rs.400/500 from Gurdwara Sahib Dhan Dhan Baba Boor Singh Ji, Village Saidon. The present petition has been filed for quashing of the FIR on the basis of compromise.

Notice of motion. On asking of the court, notice has been accepted by Ms. HK Athwal,DAG, Punjab. Copy given. The petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the complainant or any other witness voluntarily makes statement/ supplementary statement before the investigating officer, the same would be taken into consideration as per the mandate of Section 163(2) Cr.P.C. , and it will be open to the investigating agency to opt not to present challan and file cancellation report, which can be dealt with by the Illaqa Magistrate, in accordance with law.
