(Oral) The prayer in the present writ petition is for directing the respondents to treat the admission of the petitioner in Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa Institute of Engineering and Technology, Malout in the free seat category. Further direction has also been sought for refunding of the excess fees collected by the college.

The admission was made in the year 2000. The petitioner would have by now passed out of the said college. No interim orders were passed in his favour. At this point of time, no effective relief as such can be granted for change of the seat and for refund of excess fees. Even otherwise, counsel for the petitioner submits that he has no fresh instructions regarding the status of the petitioner.
