(ORAL) In the present petition, the prayer of the petitioners is that the custody of the minor girl child, namely, Ramandeep Kaur be handed over to petitioner No.2, who is her biological mother as she is being kept in illegal custody by respondent No.2, who is the stepmother of the said child.

I have talked with the minor child, namely, Ramandeep Kaur and she has expressed that she is in safe custody of her father for the last two years. Ramandeep Kaur further stated that she is going to a good school and is being taken care of properly.

Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner NARESH KUMAR 2021.08.19 17:18 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-2393-2020 -2submits that he does not want to press the present petition any further and he be given a liberty to avail appropriate remedy for seeking the custody of the minor child as envisaged under law. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the well being of the minor child be ensured by this Court.

In order to ensure the well being of the minor child, the SHO, Police Station Sadiq, District Faridkot is directed to send a lady police official to the residence where the minor is residing at least twice a week for the next two months to check the well being of the child. In case police finds anything alarming about the well being of the minor, this Court be informed.

No further orders are required to be passed as learned counsel for the petitioner has prayed that he is not pressing the present petition any further.
