NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the impugned order dated 11.12.1998 passed by respondent - Corporation (Annexure P-7). Further a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing the respondent to release gratuity, leave encashmet and security to which the petitioner is entitled on his retirement along with interest @ 18% per annum. Learned State counsel has produced a copy of letter dated 28.11.2014 which is taken on record as 'Mark X', whereby the matter was settled between the petitioner and the respondent for a sum of Rs.48,830/-, which has already been paid to the petitioner and the petitioner has also undertaken to withdraw the present petition.
