**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. This is the second petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for regular bail in FIR No. 534 dated 23.8.2017 under Sections 498-A, 323, 304-B, 506, 34 IPC registered at Police Station Hodal, District Palwal. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not present at the spot; that there are no specific allegations against the petitioner; that the main accused i.e. husband of the deceased, namely Mohan has already been convicted; that husband of the petitioner Shyam Sunder has been declared innocent during investigation; and that the petitioner has been in custody since 07.7.2020. On the other hand, learned State counsel opposes the bail application and submits that there are specific allegations against the petitioner; that the death of the deceased took place at her in-laws house GURPREET SINGH 2021.07.19 15:55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRM-M No. 13799 of 2021 -2within six months of her marriage; and that the earlier bail application of the petitioner was got dismissed as withdrawn on 25.2.2021. I have heard the learned counsel for the parties. In the present case, the petitioner is the mother-in-law of deceased Juli. As per the allegations in the FIR, the petitioner along with other co-accused used to harass and beat the deceased on account of demand of dowry and on 23.8.2017, they had committed the murder of the deceased by strangulating her. The deceased had died an unnatural death under the suspicious circumstances, at her in-laws house, within six months of her marriage. The petitioner has been specifically named in the FIR. The allegations against the petitioner are serious in nature. No ground for grant of regular bail to the petitioner is made out. The petition is dismissed.
