Through this writ petition, the petitioner prays for quashing of the second wait merit list for appointment of Medical Officer. Pursuant to service of advance notice of the writ petition, Ms. Maloo Chahal, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, enters appearance on behalf of respondents No.1 & 2 and states that the case of the petitioner is under active consideration of the competent authority and a speaking order shall be passed thereon within a period of three weeks from today.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the statement made by Ms. Maloo Chahal, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab. Needless to observe that if the petitioner's claim is to be rejected, the competent authority would pass a speaking order and she would be entitled to challenge the same.
