The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, for issuance of direction to the official respondents to investigate the complaint dated 17.02.2025 (Annexure P-1) filed by the petitioner and to trace out the grandson of the petitioner namely Mridul Sehdev. Further prayer has been made to protect the life, liberty and property of grandson of the petitioner, who is under constant threats. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that the petitioner seeks urgent intervention regarding her missing grandson, Mridul Sehdev, who has been harassed by a local loan mafia due to financial losses in his jewelry business. He submits that the grandson of the petitioner namely Mridul, fearing for his safety, did not disclose these issues to her. On 15.02.2025, Mridul returned home in a terrified state, stating he had been beaten up and robbed by the mafia, and fled away from the house when he saw them approaching towards him. CRM-M-10814-2025 going missing, Mridul contacted his father on 19.02.2025, seeking help, but the call was abruptly disconnected. The petitioner, along with local residents, approached the police authorities but despite filing a representation on 17.02.2025 (Annexure P-1), no action has been taken. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, in case a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation dated 17.02.2025 (Annexure P-1) submitted by the petitioner in a time bound manner. 4.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Sandeep Kumar, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents - State. Learned counsel for the petitioner is directed to supply copy of complete paperbook to counsel opposite during the course of the day. 6.
Keeping in view the prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting anything on the merits of the case, present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation dated 17.02.2025 (Annexure P-1) submitted by the petitioner within a period of 04 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
