The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for seeking a direction to be issued to respondents No.2 to 4 to conduct a free and fair investigation in DDR No.28 dated 23.11.2019 recorded at Police Station Sadar Fazilka (Annexure P-2) levelling allegations of rape committed upon the petitioner at the hands of private respondents No.5 to 10.

It is contended that the petitioner has got recorded aforesaid DDR levelling allegation of rape committed upon her by Angrej Singh, respondent No.8 herein and other private respondents, who helped him in commission of the offence but no action has been taken so far against the accused person.

At this stage, on the asking of the Court, Mr. Davinder Bir Singh, DAG, Punjab who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that the official respondents will look into the matter and will take a decision on the DDR of the petitioner. In view of the above, I dispose of the instant petition by directing the official respondents to conduct investigation in DDR No.28 dated 23.11.2019 recorded at Police Station Fazilka (Annexure P-2) by the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
