**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) This is a petition under Section 438 Cr.PC. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.64 dated 04.11.2016 under Sections 498-A, 34 IPC, registered at Police Station Sadar, Gurdaspur (Annexure P-1).
After the filing of the instant petition, the matter was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court for exploring the possibility of amicable settlement/agreement between the parties. The Mediation process has been successful and the settlement/agreement has been arrived at between the petitioner and the complainant-respondent No.2 on 12.09.2017, wherein it has been decided that the parties would reside together apart from other terms & conditions detailed therein. Learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that the petitioner has since joined investigation.
In view of the compromise arrived at between the parties, the petition is allowed and interim order dated 31.05.2017 is hereby made Satyawan 2017.10.24 12:45 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh
