**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioners have preferred this petition for the issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.2 and 3 to register the marriage of the petitioners under Hindu Marriage Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are competent to enter into matrimonial knot/tie. Marriage was solemnized by the petitioners on 07.03.2022 and the same has not been registered, despite filling an application form before the Marriage Registrar.

CWP No. 6238 of 2022 -2On the asking of the Court, Mr. Tarun Vir Singh Lehal, Addl. A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of State of Punjab.

In view of nature of order which this Court proposes to pass, there is no necessity of calling upon any response from the respondents, as no order prejudicial to the interest of any party is being passed.

At this stage, without commenting upon the averments of the petitioners or likely stand of the respondents, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.3 to accept the application form of the petitioners and process the same in accordance with law.

Learned State counsel submits that on receipt of application form, respondent No.2 shall proceed to take all legal proceedings/action in accordance with law, provided the petitioners are fully competent to enter into marriage and are legally entitled for marriage registration certificate. Disposed of.
