HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE RITU BAHRI

The relationship between them became strained and thereafter, the F.I.R was registered against the petitioners on account of bringing less dowry and harassment caused by the petitioners. However, the matter has now been duly compromised, in view of the statement given by the petitioner and respondent No. 2 on 29.04.2016 (Annexure P-3 and P-4) in a petition filed under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act (P-2) whereby petitioner No. 1 agreed to pay a sum of Rs.25 lacs as complete settlement against all her claims with regard to the

The compromise has been entered voluntarily. To the same effect is the statement given by the petitioner No. 1.
Consequently, in view of the status report dated 08.11.2016 and in view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Dr. Arvind Barsaul etc. versus State of Madhya Pradesh and another 2008(2) RCR (Criminal) 910, no useful purpose would be served in prolonging the litigation.
