There appears to be money dispute as well as dispute pertaining to the agreement to sell alleged to have been executed by husband of petitioner in favour of private respondents. The grievance of petitioner as putforth by learned counsel for the petitioner is that she and her family members are facing threat to their lives and liberty from the hands of respondents No. 6 to 9.

Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala to look into the grievance of petitioner, verify the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be interpreted as giving any direction relating to money dispute or dispute pertaining to agreement to sell or providing any protection to the petitioner against any legal action taken in any civil, criminal or other proceedings instituted/initiated/pending against them.
