Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to count the entire service and revised the pensionary benefits keeping in view the instructions issued by the Govt. of Punjab dated 18.04.2016.

Learned counsel would contend that regarding the claim raised in the present petition, a representation dated 30.12.2024, Annexure P-11, has been submitted, which has yet not evoked any response. She, on instructions, prays that a direction may be given to respondent No.2 to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection. 3.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 30.12.2024, Annexure P-11, within a period of 6 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
