(ORAL) Counsel for the respondent has filed the compliance report, by way of affidavit of Sakshi Sawhney, Chief Administrator of Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA), along with copy of the speaking order dated 06.03.2026 and the same are taken on record. The requisite speaking order has been passed in compliance of the order dated 30.10.2025, passed by the Coordinate Bench in CWP-319082025, whereby a time-bound direction was given to the respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass a speaking order, after affording an opportunity of hearing.

Counsel for the respondent has made reference to page No.16 of the compliance report and stated that requisite arrears of pension, vis-a-vis, SONU 2026.04.02 15:50 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

COCP-837-2026 the retirement of Rajpal, which took place on 31.08.2015, have to be worked upon w.e.f. 25.01.2011, till the date of retirement i.e. 31.08.2015. However, the said speaking order is silent with regard to further release of the arrears, as worked upon aforesaid. On query by this Court, counsel for the respondent, as per instructions received from Ravinder Singh, Law Officer (PUDA), who is present in the Court today, has given an undertaking that the entire process, as per the period worked upon, in view of the observations made in the speaking order, shall be released in favour of the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from today onwards. In view of the undertaking so given by the counsel for the respondent, at this stage, counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not want to pursue with the contempt petition and the same be dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty to assail the speaking order, if need arises. Ordered accordingly.
