Present petition was filed by the petitioners in the year 1999 as a means of redressal against their grievance that the petitioners had been wrongly retired at the age of 58 years by the respondents whereas, they were entitled to continue in service till the age of 60 years keeping in view the rules governing the service at the time when they attained the age of superannuation.

At the time when the petitioners were retired from service, they were working on a Class.III post and at the relevant time, as per the rules governing the service, the retirement age of Class.III post was 58 years and the petitioners were retired on the said age only and further, no grievance was raised by the petitioners at that time and rather they had accepted the AARTI SHARMA 2025.03.11 13:56 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

  pensionary benefits without any objection.

As per the reply filed on behalf of the respondents, as per the decision in

No one appears on behalf of the petitioners.
