(Oral) The present petition has been filed for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.390, dated 24.09.2019 for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of IPC, registered at Police Station City Barnala, District Barnala.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was not named in the FIR and it was only on the basis of disclosure statement of the co-accused, namely, Ram Lal that his name was nominated. Notice of motion was issued in this case on 28.09.2020 and interim protection was granted to the petitioner. Today, Mr. Mehardeep Singh Dulat, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions of ASI Gurmail Singh, has stated that in pursuance of the aforesaid order, the petitioner has already joined the investigation and is fully co-operating with the investigation process and that he is no longer required for custodial investigation.
