The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent to re-issue her passport with correct place of birth.

The petitioner was issued passport on 15.09.2022 which is valid upto 14.09.2032. In the passport, incorrect place of birth has been jotted down. She vide application dated 11.03.2023 (Annexure P-2) has requested for correction of place of birth. The respondent called the petitioner and she appeared on the appointed day, however, matter has not been resolved. 3.

Mr. Ramandeep, Advocate, submits that grievance of the petitioner, at this stage, would be redressed if the respondent is directed to decide her application in a time bound manner. 4.
