Mr. Abhay Pal Singh Gill, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, has joined the proceedings on behalf of respondents No.1 to 6 in this case, in pursuance of the copies of this petition having been sent to the respondent-State, in advance.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondents No.4 to 6 and 8 have started co-operating the petitioner, who is a duly elected Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, Jhottiwala, in performing the functions, as such and hence, the petitioner does not want to proceed further with the present petition any more and therefore, he be permitted to withdraw the instant petition with liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh one if there need be in future.
