Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to remove anomaly in pay scale within the department by granting grade pay of Rs.3000/- instead of Rs.2400/-. At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioners submitted that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his clients would be satisfied in case the legal notice dated 07.1.2022 (P-10) is decided expeditiously.
